      University's Heart & Vascular Institute 2020 Multidisciplinary Conference

      Program Description   The 2013 Multidisciplinary Conference in Cardiac Catheterization, Vascular Sonography, Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, Nuclear Medicine and Cardiac Rehab will offer valuable information on multidisciplinary current and future procedures. The conference is designed to promote interaction between the various disciplines to achieve the best possible outcome for patients. The meeting also will bring together specialists from Georgia and surrounding states for discussions of state-of-the-art care. Schedule Friday, Jan. 25. 6-9 p.m.: Meet and Greet -- University's Heart & Vascular Institute Saturday, Jan. 26, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Conference -- starts in University's auditorium See the AGENDA for this event. Program Content/Format   The content of the meeting has been organized by the Program Committee with representation from Catheterization, Vascular Sonography, Echocardiography, Electrophysiology, Nuclear Medicine and Cardiac Rehab departments. The program includes: General Sessions featuring a published Physician-comedian who will open the program. The program will continue with a interdisciplinary speaker who will address the various disciplines represented. The audience will attend their specific track to acquire CME credits. Learning Objectives Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care Discuss the most recent advances in each area. Target Audience   The meeting with 6 tracks is designed for cardiac catheterization, vascular sonography, echocardiography, electrophysiology, nuclear medicine and cardiac rehab technologists as well as nurses who work for the various departments. Fees Advance registration is $25 if paid by Dec. 30, 2012; after Jan. 1, 2013, the fee is $55. Student registration is $10. University employees are free.
